My mum seldom gets excited over my issues and apparently, it is as if she was a talentime participant as well. Other than constantly trying to find out my progress in this competition, she also reminds me time and again what I must do and what not to do.

The day before my SEMIs:
(translated)
Mum(while halfway through her ironing work): ys ah, when you sing hor, you cannot just stand there leh..must walk here and there you know?

Me: *nods head* wo dong....(meaning I know)

one hour later...amidst her cooking, she shouted from the sizzling kitchen. I thought she needed my help urgently or whatsover. Hear this.

Mum(with the ladle in her hand): ys ah...when you sing, your face must have expression hor, must go with the music........(I walked away and didn't managed to catch the last part of that)

Me: Har na Har na!!

On the day of Semi-finals, before I went for school...
Mum: Eh ys, today when you know the results of your competition le hor, you send me a message la...

Me: er..I won't know it today, will only know on Friday by 12noon.

If you think that the auntie in her late 40s will forget this piece of info in a while, which I expected of her too....we are wrong!

This Morning(friday)...
Mum:Eh ys, when you know the results today, message me hor.

Me: orh!

At 2pm or so, my Mum sent me a message to ask about it.

*faint*

Seems like my mum is pretty concerned over this competition that she remembers the nitty-grittys of it. That's so sweet of her too=)
