The newspapers last week reported that the primary school kids nowadays get so caught up with the activities arranged for them so much that they break down.

Pertaining to these, I just heaved a sigh of relief, thanking Mother Nature that I was borned several years way before these children. Don't you agree?

Imprinted BIG on that particular wordy page was, two full timetables of a 8 yr-old girl and a 9 yr-old boy. I must say, it was quite appaling when I scanned through this, only to realise kids nowadays really have NO life. Ballet classes, Swimming lesson, piano class, school cca, homework, revision plus tuition this and tuition that, I doubt they can hardly take a breather. Nonetheless, the society doesn't seems to be merciful about this; to be skills-enriched, that's what captures every parents' mind. And so, they sent their children for this and that, not considering the tremendous amount of pressure they undergo.

Back when I was at their age, my days were so relaxing, though I still blame Mum for not letting me learn piano la=X

I can't help but to imagine how these kids survive under such packed schedules, when meals have to be taken in their parents' car and the moment they reached home, they stick themselves flat in front of the study table. One of the boys even broke down before his tests!! He cried and refused to go to school. Then I wonder how his parents feel to see him in that state, so traumatic of tests and school yet education for him still has a long way to go, especially when he's only in primary 2.

Well, on a lighter note, hopefully such culture of parents nowdays will produce a bigger pool of talents for the local economy and not backfire huh?

Anyway, to those who have tagged and people who sent me messages after my previous entry(miao hui, calverk, alison and joshua), thanks a lot!! it's great to know that my friends are behind me when in times of trouble=) I am okay now..life goes on!!;) *cheeRiOs*
