It was kinda intimidating to see like 4 groups of little kids at the pool just now, they were almost occupying the whole pool, can you imagine?

On my left, on my right, in front, everywhere! I was kinda left with barely this breadth of the pool to swim, but that's enough actually. Anyway, they were intimidating because they all looked so confident while the coach was giving instructions, they all seemed ready to take the dive. Anytime, any pool.

Then there was this girl who caught my attention. She was quite obviously struggling to catch up to her peers because she hadn't really got the grasp of how to swim yet. But the coach didn't give poorer student like her any special attention and he assumed that everyone was ok.

I can imagine how that poor kid felt like how I did several years ago. Okay, at least I think she's better off than me; I don't think her coach asked her to attempt the deep pool yet.

NOT LIKE THE HEARTLESS COACH WHO TAUGHT ME WHEN I WAS JUST A P3 KID!!

I still had this minute body size then and happily enrolled for the swimming course. In the end, the first lesson proved to be a nightmare to me and I was scared out of my wits. The coach told us to jump, one by one, at the middle mark of the deep pool.

which was a horrifying 1.8m!!

Even now, I am like 20 odd cm less than 180cm. Imagine then..oh god..it's reminding me of that worst almost-drowning 5 minutes of my life.

Okay, I shan't go into details describing how I felt then, it makes me shudder at the thought of it and it's more of, I will avoid deep waters whenever possible from then on.

So when I take a ferry, I will be ultra worried actually=/

OKay, back to the pool scene, I realised the kids are so brave. There was this group of miniature-sized kids who were having their lesson. The waddling figures looked so cute as they followed their coach, all suited in their colourful swimsuit. pink, blue, flowers, polka dots.. And they were happily paddling water, equipped with a float, trying to get the hang of being in water.

How I wish I had a nicer swimming experience when I was a kid!

Deep waters, I fear! *shudder*

Back to the stove to check on my porridge! :)
