I have been into some DIY frenzy this holiday and recently, breaking free from studies is causing my hands to itch for some handicraft work. The first example was Habin's grooming and now, guess what I have to show you next?

Look at the bottom tip of the crowd or specifically their footwear and I am sure it's not difficult to point out that Birkenstocks or that type of sandals are in trend now and I am sure most of you out there are yearning for a pair of that too. Plus, are all the designs are tempting your fingers to go digging in your pockets for money to pay for a pair that are priced $100 over! Since I am not borned in a family which is filthy rich and thus cannot afford those genuine ones and I am sure some of you out there are in the same situation as me, so I have a solution for you here=)

Materials needed for today's craftwork:
1. A pair of birkenstocks kinda sandals, cheap ones will do since it may be your first time and you don't wanna waste money to create a disaster, don't you? I got mine at $9.90=)
2. acrylic paint
3. clear spray paint
4. a tiny brush

So, begin your work with something simple if it's your virgin try and go on further if you have had much painting experiences, like me!=P hehe...

Give your shoes a simple design, yet something that fatasize you so that you won't chuck it aside and not wear it after this project. For me, I chose a flora theme because I love flowers=)

Unless you are very experienced in acrylic painting, do draw an outline of the design on the straps of the shoes using pencil before you begin with the colours. Following that outline, you can give your shoes their unique patterns with any colours to your liking.

For the finishing touch, spray a few light coats of spray paint and let it dry.

Now, You are all ready to put that personalised and one-and-only-pair-in-this-world onto your feet and feel confident about your footwear. Ain't it great? To show you mine! Copyrighted ya?
