This isn't just a simple picture of the normal longans that you see at the lelong fruit stalls. The whole pack here has story that goes 70 years back apparently.and here the story goes...
the longans were plucked from this tree that my ah-gong (who has long resided in heaven) some 70 years ago, even before you and I were out to see this world. The tree amazingly remains productive for so many years. So, my relatives(who went back China for visits few days before) brought some back for us to savour.
WOW.

I am amazed.
Anyway, back to the story about longans and their visit to China.
I kinda marvel at how magnanimous my granny(ah-ma) is, to be able to accept her husband's other wife and the ENTIRE FAMILY.
She went for the trip in fact and bought lots of tonics/whatsoever there.
ah-ma has got the biggest heart I feel :)) Though we ain't really close due to communication barriers. But I respect her for treating people with that level of warmth and generosity.
