I received a call from this guy called ERIC earlier on. No, it's not a prank call. He's actually someone from SONY(logistics) whom I need to contact for my work last time. And the one male ex-colleague who bothers to ask how I am doing right now. Aw, there's still some hope for SONY with such kind souls around, not forgetting V, E and G :)
Though quite oddly, both of us have never met each other before because he works in the warehouse and I, over at The Strategy. So, I don't know how this guy looks like actually, not a single clue >.<>
So my phone rang just now and duh, I answered.
Eric: Yin Sing ah..you still owe me a D/O (delivery order) leh..for tomorrow's delivery..
Me: "huh!?"
I think he reminded me of the nightmare I had when I worked there. Especially the initial period when I dealt with home delivery and Eric was SOOOOO fierce to me, I still remember our conversation then. Thank goodness, he doesn't take that irritated tone to me nowadays AND thank goodness too, I am free from the clutches of sony. phew!

Was trying to bake cookies this afternoon since I am now quite a free-bird who practically rots at home most of the time of most of the days, except for tuition and occasional meet-ups. So, thanks, the mixer was spoilt but I was bent on baking cookies. I happily bought the ingredients after my swim this morning and came back home, all happy and ready to start my baking spree.
So, the first step was to mix butter and brown sugar together. Then I realised how important a mixer was! How do I proceed then? Sorry..erm..But I used my hands. That was the only alternative. I swear I washed them clean before I lay them on the mixture. I don't wish to do that neither lor, because mixing sugar and butter together with my hands was SO DISGUSTING. Next was adding in flour and egg; not again. I felt like the most unfortunate baker in this world using the most primitive equipments. Imagine laying your fingers on oily, dry and watery ingredients=/ When I finally got myself, or rather my hands out of the mess, I was anticipating the last step.
I don't have a oven at home, so make do with a toaster la. Bo bian. Didn't know the effects of baking soda is that great after my 3cm balls of dough emorphed into these!
flat and ugly looking brown-coloured flats of dough instead.
I was doubting it's ediblity when I saw the colour; it didn't look a single bit like it can form chocolate chip cookies you know. So I got a bit worried and on top of that, I couldn't control the baking temperature. I told you I used a toaster, right? And, the first batch of cookies turned out to be horribly...burnt.
It tasted ok still la.
So, after I got the hang of how to function that small toaster, I finally see the making of chocolate chip cookies.
ta-da! I used white chocolate chips Bcos I prefer it to the dark ones. My throat is now a little sore after having 'test' many of the samples >.<
and yay! white chocolate chip cookies I present to you:)
I hope this is a pass for beginners.
