Afterall, CNY is still the usual rounds of greetings, handshakes, smiles, pigging and receiving of red packets.
But it gets this wee bit of troublesome when we meet people whom I get to meet only once in a few years...or never in my life. Each time the above mentioned group of people appear in our gatherings, I will rush to my mum and ask her how I should address them.
The reply is always chim, unfortunately.
Sometimes Mum gets confused by their seniority and the matters of generations. Some I call ah m. Some I address them as "jiu jiu"(uncle) when he's just 26, some I address them as "kor kor" when that man is as old as Dad, on top of that he doesn't have much hair left on his head and he has got a big belly-.-
Oh mans. And definitely this gets confusing for me and I brushed it off with a sincere handshake coupled with a smile and of course the usual "happy new year". job donE! :)

Yu Sheng with my family on day 1. I NEVER like this stuff. It gets slimy and sour and those strands look too colourful that I doubt they are edible=/
