I met my new tutee today; managed to find my way to her house after a little bit of hiccup. But still, the first character who greeted me was the mother, a pretty friendly lady.
next, it was a cute silky terrier :) call it affinity with the dogs, when I sat down it happily jumped up the seat next door as well before attempting to get onto my lap.
then, it was my tutee herself, a cute little girl, too small a size to be primary 6 though.
She reminds me of how I used to be as a little girl.
Anyway, got down to proper work...
She told me she scored 30 over marks for English last year. Yea, she failed.
And I kinda expected it after some coaching this afternoon.
She couldn't differentiate between singular and plural; she couldn't spell 'frogs' etc. To think the mother told me that she's weaker in Maths.
OMG. tomorrow's maths.
Nonetheless, I am just gonna try my best :)
she needs me, that's why I am there.
she needs me, that's why I am there.
she needs me, that's why I am there.
