The last 17 years of Chinese New Year hadn't been as happening as the one we are celebrating now. Well, not that I could remember those nitty grittys when I was a toddler back then but I do get back some fond memories when I flipped through the yellowish photo album of mine.

My kor rented a car specially to facilitate our whole family's movement during the cny period. I am sure everyone knows the trouble of SQUEEZING in a mrt train during cny and it's no joke when you have to be squashed like tunas all the way from Bukit Batok to Tampines. I reckon he rented it also because he needs to frequently practise his driving; he got his license 2 years back. The eve of cny eve was terrible, he drove the rented car and hit something in the car park(I still don't know what it is). Dad accompanied him to the car company and they said he needed to pay $700 just for a broken light casing!! Dad thinks those people are going a little overboard, I thought that's daylight robbery. Anyway, the unlucky thing aside.

As we does every year, lunar new year day 1 will be at my ah ma's house at Tampines. But surprisingly, Mum suggested that we make a trip down to the Bugis temple to offer our prayers first, since a car makes travelling so much easier. I was right, it was too crowded there...so we didn't went in afterall-.-

Was glad to see my uncle(the one whom I visited in the hospital last hol) looking better and he can now walk!! However, the big problem lies with the huge sum of medical bills which adds up to more than 40000! Ah ma's doing fine, although she seemed to lost some weight. My cousins? The sec 4 girl can't be bothered with us; I didn't have chance to talk to her and she didn't either. The other 2 smaller ones are much more friendlier=) Well, they can't be blamed because we barely see one another at most twice/thrice a year? I can't think of a common topic between us too.

That was my house visit yesterday, only a house.

Together with my kor's gf, the whole family of 6 went down to marina for steamboat, but I wasn't in the mood for it, so I ate very little-$15 for only a small bowl of food. But I guessed Dad helped me recoup my losses by targeting all those crabs!!

The worst was..I saw lizards on the walls!!! 2 were mating and the other 2 busy preying.

*jaw dropped* but on 2nd thought, I thought I better kept it closed just in case those disgusting lizards xiang bu kai and wanted to go on a superman ride. *haha*

I was too truamatised by the sight of them and I forgo the food. It seems like I have fate with many creepy creatures recently. First cockroaches, second lizards, what's next? I don't wanna know... In any case, I hate all of them, and I meant ALL, even if you were to give me butterflies. SPARE ME!

It was time for a stroll since everyone got their tummy after the $15/pax steamboat=X So, we went to A LOT of places, but didn't stop at some of them though. First was to see the Merlion=) Then to Cosy Bay(somewhere in kallang). It was my first time there and the night view there was fabulous! Let me show you some of the pictures we took=)

My parents..back at the place where they held their wedding dinner*wink* how meaningful right?

Then, we saw fireworks from afar...and went frantic taking photos. My smile nearly went plastered when my younger brother was taking picture of me.

nice background again right?

Next, we went to see PLANES!! at the road where many mediacorp scenes were taken at*wink*

So, the night was still young(since it was cny day 1) and we went to Changi village to see transexual, what we commonly call them as "a-kua". I couldn't believe we actually made the trip there either, but yes we did. Although I know Changi Village is famous for this, but I hadn't seen any before in my life and so, that short 15-20 mins was a real eye-opener for me!

I realised that there was these 2 carparks where most of them are concentrated at, so my kor drove into one of them(the one he said with more "chio" ones-.-") and true enough, we saw 1 despite the public holiday. GOSH! you weren't believe it until you saw him/her( now which one should it be?) with your own eyes.

She was in Bikini top and her *ahem* was...of the size that makes many many girls go like "WOW"!! I was amazed too, at how he got it. I am getting confused with the he/she??!! Urgh.
Anyway..she was in bikini top, as I said, and mini skirt. Her hair done up as if going for some dinner and my oh my...her tummy was FLAT!! No "3-layered meat", no flabby fats, but firm!! She held a tissue on her hands and was smelling it or trying to act sexy by covering half her face with it.

*vomit*
*vomit vomit*
*vomit vomit vomit*

Just let me puke out the endless exclaimation marks stucked at my throat..it was my first time seeing such people!! According to my kor, they stand by the roadside to wait for people(I don't know males/females) who are interested in them, to fetch them in cars. If no one told me, I would have thought.."why is this lady here so scantily dressed and standing right in the middle of the carpark?"

Then my kor made a second round..to let us see again. Ha..as the usual timid me, I was so afraid that he/she will beat us up for staring at him/she.

Indeed, the experience was a hair-standing one,I would say.

I slept on the journey home. I was surprised that I could still sleep after lizards and transexual.

Don't you think it was a very happening cny?
